Over-Emotional: This is the mother of all Sims 3 traits. And Mood is the basic barometer for every single career. Download saint row 3 highly compressed. Provided you can get your Sim. May 01, 2012  The Sims 3 at IGN: walkthroughs, items, maps, video tips, and strategies. This can conflict with Sims with the Light Sleeper trait. Best Xbox Deals.

LOSERS
Daredevil- utterly useless. Extreme sleep, no different than regular sleep. Extreme shower, come on, it's just a shower. The only thing they seem to uniquely do is eat crap from the floor in order to gross other sims out. Not enough to throwaway a trait slot for.
Heavy Sleeper- a whole trait slot just to not be woken up by the burglar alarm? A waste.
Light Sleeper- even more annoying when every single little thing wakes them up. OK, maybe it's like a light sleeper in real life, but jeez, what a waste of a trait just to end up with a perpetually tired sim.
Lucky- Yeah, lucky at what? So you get the little 4 leaf clover icon a lot, but you don't win any more at the Casino, so what's the point? And my Lucky sims still got caught blowing stuff up in public when Ambitions came out, so no ace up the sleeve with that one for me.
Unlucky- converse of above. At least Loser gets you an in with Grimy, so you can only die from old age. Unlucky is, IMO, one of those throwaway traits that block up a good slot.
FAVES
Diva+Snob- At first it seemed a turn off. But for the right sim, it's the perfect combo to making an inherently annoying sim.
Flirty+Great Kisser+Irresistible- Enough said.
Bookworm- Not what you first think of, but being able to read quickly, combined with improved writing, is a knockout for author sims. And, while they are self employed, you can send them off to the Library for the day, and they'll stay totally amused. It's like a RH without being one.
Avant Garde- OK, it is especially cute with Snob/Diva, as they walk around critiquing everything around them. And I do like the 'Enthuse about obscure music' line.
Artistic- Perfect for your creative, self employed sims. Painter, Sculptor, even Writer, all benefit from this one. And like a Bookworm, they can spend the day at the Art Gallery and be totally content.

I would think the best job for a vampire would be a self-employeed career. That way they can set their own hours, and work then they want to. This way if they want to be on the prowl at night they can, and sleep during the day.
Orginally I thought that maybe a night job, but after I did that, they just did not have the time to do what vampires are suppose to do.
A part time job would also be good, take for example Beau Merrick. He is a vampire who lives in Bridgeport, and he only works 4 hours a night. He still has time to have a night life if he wants it.

Thanks, I thought about getting a self-employed job for my vampire. Now to decide what kind of self-employment job to get for him. I also thought about the fortune-teller career. what do you guys think?

Painters are always in a good mood. Writer? Sculptors are happy also. Alchemist, they can make there own sunscrean and instant friend potion.

I might try alchemist for my vampire. I did fail miserably at my first attempt at a legacy with a vampire. He died of thirst on day 1

Don't forget about the plasma juice in the refrigerator. I also send my vampires to the grocery store to stock up an plasma fruit to keep handy for an emergency.

He was in the sun and I sent him to the Toadstool to get some plasma juice and he died from thirst in the front door.

I would suggest substituting the 'athletic' trait for something else.
Since vampires learn skills so quickly, athleticism will come easily/naturally for him. You'll just get a lot of wants to work out but the skill will already be maxed.

Ok, I will remember to not give him the athletic trait next time I make a vampire. :-)

You could always use the personality changing elixir

I'd go with a trait that lends itself to a career but that it doesn't matter if it's maxed. Something like Artistic or Bookworm if you're going to be a painter or writer respectively. Make rooms with no windows, or have a basement in your house, so your vampire can sleep in the morning, write or paint in the afternoon and go out on the town at night. (I may have to try that myself; I haven't played a vampire. But I might be tempted to go with the Vegetarian trait and stock up on Plasma Fruit, or grow a few in my yard and just garden/harvest at night. Not sure I can get my vampire to build high enough relationships to feed on people.)

Alchemy is a great career for vampires. Since the vampire powers are not at all what they were cracked up to be and since vampires are nowhere near as powerful as witches or genies it's very helpful to have an arsenal of awesome potions to back them up.

Question about vampires: can they eat real food or just drink plasma/eat plasma fruit? In other words, does it make sense for them to actually have a kitchen where they can cook if they're not living with a non-vampire Sim? I'm working on designing an underground lair for my vampire (it'll look like just a small house up top, probably with some plasma fruit plants in the planter bowls inside), but all the living facilities in the basements (including an indoor pool/hot tub in the lowest basement).

I think they can eat real food, but then they get the 'stuffed' moodlet.Don't take my word for it though,it's been a while since I gave real food to a vamp

I suggest the Criminal career - firstly it's at night, so no sun-related problems there. Second he will bonus from the Night Owl trait. Third being athletic is good for criminals, since they need to run fast

Actually Criminal isn't a great career for vampires, given most of the time you go out socialising is at night I've found it annoying to have to work nights at the same time, cuts into your social life.
