I posted this thread under Garageband for Mac already, but it's taking a while for people to reply. I had a keyboard lying around and wanted to try it out with Garageband to make a multi-track recording or something. When I plugged it in via its USB output, Garageband didn't seem to notice. I read online that keyboards with this type of input are supposed to be plug-and-play. But when I plugged in mine, nothing happened. It didn't even show an error message saying something wasn't recognized. I have a Yamaha DGX-205 Portable Grand from sometime in the mid-2000s. I restarted Garageband and unplugged the keyboard from the Mac and plugged it back in, but still nothing happened. I looked online for drivers that I might need, but they seem to have been deleted from the Yamaha website since the link in Google took me to a main directory instead of the place I was trying to go. The original disc that probably came with my keyboard is long gone. Preferences shows 1 MIDI input recognized, but it says that whether the keyboard is plugged in or not, so I think that is something else. How can I get this working?
